Each of them has an amazing story to tell of how they came to love and believe in Jesus in the midst of communist influence, civil war and previous religion. Medical Relief Teams
Medical relief team travels to the Solomon Islands to aid in tsunami relief. Work was coordinated by Gud Nius Redio (Good News Radio), an FM station in the capital, Honiara.

HCJB World Radio expands into the vast opportunities in Asia by establishing the Asia Pacific Region.

Commenced the delivery of Arabic programming throughout the region.
2000 Russian Satellite Service
The Russian Satellite Service, New Life Radio, begins in conjunction with the Evangelical Covenant Church.
1997 Sub-Saharan Africa Region
HCJB World Radio expands into Africa with the establishment of the Sub-Saharan Africa Region.

North Africa Middle East Region
HCJB World Radio expands into North Africa and the Middle East by establishing that area as a region.

Latin America Region
HCJB World Radio begins to regionalize with the establishment of the Latin America region.

Beyond the Call with Dr. Ron Cline
Beyond the Call Launches
"Beyond The Call," a daily one-minute program heard across the U.S. and worldwide via shortwave and the Internet, launches to encourage believers in their daily Christian walk.

HCJB World Radio expands into Europe and Asia by establishing the Euro-Asia Region.

ALAS
The ALAS Spanish satellite radio service begins offering programming to stations throughout Latin America.
1991 Radio Planting
Radio Planting as a strategy for partnering and equipping local Christian radio stations is started with an FM station in Bukacu, Zaire.

HCJB World Radio pioneers the World by 2000 challenge with Far East Broadcasting Co. and Trans World Radio in an effort to make Christian radio programming available in all the world's major languages.

The Christian Center of Communications is launched in Quito to provide practical training to Christians throughout Latin America interested in working with media.
1978 World Radio Network
Radio station KVMV in McAllen, Texas, U.S.A., becomes the first World Radio Network station to share the Gospel along the U.S.-Mexico border.

HCJB World Radio broadcasts it's first program received via satellite, the Luis Palau campaign from Managua, Nicaragua.
